HOTBED GOES ON RIVER TIME TO HELP CHILDREN OF ABUSE & NEGLECT
Hotbed Media recently completed a successful project for On River Time, a growing non-profit that aims to empower children of abuse and neglect through the experience of fly-fishing.
For the kids who are selected, this summer camp includes an all-expenses paid trip to Swan Valley, Idaho, where they are taught to fly fish, form new relationships, and harness the healing power of Mother Nature. But the healing goes beyond a one-week summer camp. On River Time works year-round with foster homes to provide mentorship and support to children across the country.
A major part of On River Time’s funding is through private donations at events like their annual, “Fish On!” fundraiser. In order to serve more children, they wanted to make a bigger impact this year with a customized donor video. Hotbed was honored to help produce a unique video for the “Fish On!” dinner that was both heartwarming and informational.
The end result was a voice over driven narrative, which at times was very poetic. We were able to augment the existing photos and videos with a realistic river backdrop that featured photos hanging from a tree. Like a small seed, kids are susceptible to their conditions, but with help from organizations like On River Time, they will grow to have strong roots for the rest of their lives.
The fundraiser was a success! With a packed house of 175 guests & donors, On River Time surpassed their fundraising goal and was proud to have this video be part of their keystone event.
