Hotbed, Oslo, and Human Rights
The Human Rights Foundation (HRF), a nonprofit from the East Coast, has a simple mission: to ensure that freedom is both preserved and promoted around the world.
Every year, the HRF puts on a Freedom Forum in Oslo, Norway, where activists, experts, musicians, artists, and world leaders from dozens of countries come to speak and share their thoughts and ideas on human rights issues around the world. For the third year in a row, Hotbed joined the Oslo Freedom Forum as their on-site live event editing team.
Hotbed’s editor/producers have become a vital part of the Oslo Freedom Forum’s output, providing on-site editorial for all Forum events as they unfold. Over 11 days, the team spent time with some of the most influential people alive in one of the world’s loveliest of cities. Working in tandem with a local production company and crew from the theater in which the forum was held, our team worked tirelessly in the live environment to produce a total of ten finished videos to air on the HRF’s Youtube channels.
The Forum began releasing Hotbed’s finished videos in waves following the completion of the forum. You can watch all of the videos here.
Hotbed is honored to work with the Human Rights Foundation on such an extraordinary event where our crew is able to meet the world’s living super heroes. Even better, we’re able to capture their speeches as they occur and share them with the world, where they can help start turning the wheels towards change.
